Transfer-only moves. Ninetales can only learn these moves in previous generations. It must be taught the moves in the appropriate game and then transferred to Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. Note: Generation 1 and 2 refer to the 3DS Virtual Console titles, not the physical cartridges.

You can't evolve Vulpix into a Ninetales. ... But you said you wanted what moves it can learn in leaf green. Leaf green is a generation 3 game so click on generation 3.
9/7/2004 · Fire Spin, at Lv 42. Apart from that, Ninetails does not learn any Fire type move. In fact, it doesn't learn ANY move whatsoever. Ninetails can learn new moves only when it hasn't evolved yet and is still a Vulpix; once you do evolve it Fire Spin is the only thing it can learn naturally.
Ninetales can't learn moves because evolves through Fire Stone, even though, it pre-evolution could, which is Vulpix. ... You can get a Vulpix by having Leaf Green inserted in your DS at Route 209 ...

Despite being able to learn Energy Ball via breeding, Vulpix cannot learn it via a TM. This has been fixed as of Generation V. Vulpix, along with its evolution, Ninetales, is the only non-Ghost-type to learn Grudge and Will-O-Wisp by leveling up.
